The Ungs launched the Nirmita Composers Workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The workshop had two spheres: one for young composers from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and USA trained in Western music, and another for Cambodian traditional musicians. They were co- presented by the Cambodian Living Arts and Nirmita Composers Workshop, with additional support through the European Union in Cambodia, the Asia Center of Japan Foundation, the USESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity, and the Asian Cultural Council, among others.
